On April 14th, the Diplomatic School hosted Ara Ketibian, the editor of the multi-volume compilation “The Armenian Genocide: Prelude and Aftermath. As reported in the U.S. Press” and the book “Azeri aggression against Armenians in Transcaucasia (1905-1921)”. 

As of today, seven volumes of “The Armenian Genocide: Prelude and Aftermath. As reported in the U.S. Press” have been published. Ketibian talked about the content of the book and the challenges he faced during his work. The publications about the Armenian Genocide and massacres were represented from such American newspapers as of the authoritative American periodicals such as “The New York Times”, “The Boston Daily Globe”, “The Christian Science Monitor” and “The Washington Post” and cover the period between 1890 and 1922.  

During the discussion the participants praised the tremendous work that Ara Ketibian has done compiling the publications. And asked questions concerning the different periods of the Armenian genocide implementation, the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide and the role of the Armenian diaspora in the process of the recognition.
