02.10.2024 • Meeting with Ali Abdulkarem Utawi, Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq

On October 2nd, a meeting was held between Ambassador Vahe Gabrielyan, Director of the Diplomatic School of the MFA of the Republic of Armenia and Dr. Ali Abdulkarem Utawi, Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in the Republic of Armenia. The parties discussed the possibilities of signing a Memorandum of Understanding between the Diplomatic School of Armenia and the Institute of Foreign Service of the Republic of Iraq, as well as other issues related to the implementation of joint programmes.

11.09.2024 • Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Diplomatic School of Armenia and the Institute for Political and International Studies of Iran

On September 11th, a meeting was held between Ambassador Vahe Gabrielyan, Director of the Diplomatic School of the MFA of the Republic of Armenia and Dr. Mohammad Hassan Sheikholeslami, Deputy Foreign Minister and President of the Institute for Political and International Studies (IPIS) of the MFA of the Islamic Republic of Iran. A ceremony of signing a Memorandum of Understanding between the two institutions of diplomatic training took place. The sides discussed issues related to the perspectives of cooperation and the implementation of joint projects. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Grigor Hakobyan, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Mr. Hayk Darbinyan, Acting Head of the Department of Bordering Countries, H.E. Mehdi Sobhani, Ambassador of Iran to Armenia, Mr. Farhad Koleini,  former  Iranian Ambassador to Armenia and Senior Research Fellow (IPIS) and Dr. Khalil Shirgholami, Deputy for Research and Studies (IPIS).

11.09.2024 • Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Diplomatic School of Armenia and the Institute for Diplomatic Studies of Egypt

On September 11th, a meeting was held between H.E. Ambassador Vahe Gabrielyan, Director of the Diplomatic School of Armenia and H.E. Ambassador Walid Haggag, Director of the Institute for Diplomatic Studies of Egypt, during which issues related to various directions of cooperation were discussed. A ceremony of signing a Memorandum of Understanding between the two educational institutions in the field of diplomacy took place. Mr. Arsen Arakelyan, Head of the Middle East and Africa Department of the MFA of Armenia and H.E. Mrs. Serenade Mohamed Soliman Gamil, Ambassador of Egypt to Armenia also participated in the meeting. 

10.09.2024 • Meeting with David Des Roches and Gawdat Bahgat, Professors of the Near East South Asia (NESA) Center for Strategic Studies

On September 10 th , a meeting was held at the Diplomatic School of Armenia between the Director of the Diplomatic School Vahe Gabrielyan, the Acting Head of the Division of Transnational Threats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Henrik Yeritsyan, and representatives of the Near East and South Asia (NESA) Center for Strategic Studies of the US Department of Defense David B. des Roches and Gawdat Bahgat ,   who were in Yerevan to participate in the   "Yerevan Dialogue 2024" international forum. The sides of the meeting discussed possibilities of cooperation   between the two educational institutions .

09.09.2024 • The launch of the 2024-25 “International Relations and Diplomacy” programme

On September 9 th , the Diplomatic School of Armenia commenced its 2024-25 “International Relations and Diplomacy” programme with the “Introduction to International Relations” course, delivered by Professor Petr Kratochvíl, Senior Researcher at the Institute of International Relations of the Czech Republic. At the start of the course, Ambassador Vahe Gabrielyan, Director of the Diplomatic School, welcomed the new students and congratulated them on their enrollment, shared insights into the nuances and particularities of the diplomatic service and provided an overview of the programme.  

09.09.2024 • Meeting with Gladden Pappin, President of the Hungarian Institute of International Affairs

On September 9th, a meeting was held between Ambassador Vahe Gabrielyan, Director of the Diplomatic School and Mr. Gladden Pappin, President of the Hungarian Institute of International Affairs. Issues related to the establishment and development of cooperation between the two institutions were discussed during the meeting.

29.07.2024 • Graduation of the first "Mid-career training" programme 2024

From May 2 to July 19, 2024,   the first of the two annual mid-career training programmes of 2024 took place at the Diplomatic School of Armenia. The aim of the programme was to increase the professional knowledge of the newly recruited diplomats and acquaint them with the subtleties of the foreign policy of the Republic of Armenia. On July 29, a t the   completion of the programme , the Director of the Diplomatic School, Ambassador Va he   Gabriel yan handed certificates to   graduates and expressed hope that the   programme will contribute to the improvement of the participants’ professional activities .

25.07.2024 • The Graduation Ceremony of the “International Relations and Diplomacy” 2023-24 Programme

On July 25 th , students of the “International Relations and Diplomacy” 2023-24 programme received their graduation certificates during a ceremony attended by high-ranking diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia. MFA Secretary General Davit Karapetyan handed the certificates to the graduates, congratulating them on the successful completion of the programme and wishing success in their future professional activities.

17.07.2024 • “South Caucasus: Realities, Challenges and Prospects” training programme for junior diplomats from Africa and Latin America

From 1st to 12th of July, the Diplomatic School of Armenia held its second training programme on “South Caucasus: Realities, Challenges and Prospects”   for junior diplomats from Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Uruguay, Angola, Botswana, Ghana, Ethiopia, Kenya and Nigeria . The programme featured lectures by both Armenian and foreign experts, who introduced the participants to the latest developments and challenges in the South Caucasus region.   Visits to the Mother See of Holy Echmiatsin, Matenadaran, the Memorial Complex and   Museum-Institute   of the Armenian Genocide, among others, complemented the study visit.
